At UGI, as seafloor gardners, we create and develop new and inspiring underwater landscapes: the Sea Gardens. Their landscape design offers divers the next generation of underwater experience. A new form of Underwater Landscaping

.

Through our design protocol reefhopper®, a result of the logarithms developed by our multidisciplinary team, UGI has designed subaquatic landscapes that integrate themselves perfectly into the surroundings and create the most diverse itineraries and underwater routes. A new concept is born: “Diving Tracks”.

These underwater surroundings are individually designed for each ecosystem and are based on scientific knowledge, technology and ecology. They promote the development of optimal conditions for marine life to thrive, for marine biomass to increase and be colonized by algae, corals and fish of all sizes, depending on the local species that wish to be fostered.

A complete Park can be erected or only certain elements can be selected, such as from the services, the diving tracks constructions or even the implementation of scientific dissemination centers.

Thanks to our partner Life Reef Technologies, we create and implement custom-made projects for each surrounding that can include one or more of our areas of expertise.

Biomimetic Approach

We analyze challenges and look for answers in the solutions that nature has developed over millions of years of evolution.

Natural geometry based design

Geometry is the expression of natural harmony and is present in everything that surrounds us. Underwater Gardens takes fractal geometry as a reference and is inspired by the Flower of Life, a geometric pattern that repeats itself in nature and that has inspired cultures and religions across the globe.

We love diving

Divers love the sea and represent a group with a high level of education, with values such as respect for nature and a taste for culture and art. We are passionate about the sea and we are always attentive to discover the best diving spots on the planet.

Technology based in science and biomimetic

For the design of the underwater landscapes our team depends on the reefhopper® technology which allows us to design healthy reefs with a unique biomimetic result for each ecosystem and location.
